Choices such as these can be very personal and we may not agree on all of my selections. To those who might ask “how can anyone support [whatever cause troubles them]?!” I can only say, “being who I am, how could I not?” Authors are often urged to avoid certain subjects in order to attract the greatest number of readers but I feel that to share these causes with you is to share a piece of myself and to support them in the process.
